Carpet Cleaning
We have been cleaning carpets in domestic and commercial properties for many years.
We are fully trained and work to NCCA and IICRC standards - the highest standard of training in the business).
When you entrust the cleaning of your carpet to us, you’ll be assured of a professional, safe and thorough clean. We are NCCA members, (National Carpet Cleaning Association), no. 888, and are fully insured.
Methods:-
Our preferred method of cleaning is hot water extraction, (sometimes called steam cleaning). This is a deep cleaning method.
A typical job would involve:-
- Vacuuming to remove dry soil
- Pre-spraying and scrubbing into the pile the appropriate cleaning agent
- Rinse extraction with hot water
- Laying the pile in one direction
- Finally if the time allows we start the drying process with turbo dryers.
- Drying time can be as little as 20-30 minutes, but rarely longer than 3-4 hours depending on conditions.
- Furniture remaining in the room will have foil or polystyrene blocks placed under the feet to prevent dye or rust transfer.
All the chemicals we use are non-toxic and safe for you and your children, pets and fabrics, and leave no residue that could cause rapid resoiling.
We can use dry methods to clean, but find them more suitable for frequent maintenance cleaning rather than the general restorative cleaning we most often encounter.
We like to call and carry out a site survey and quote but quite often this is not viable, so we will estimate over the phone if needed.
Other treatments/services
Oriental rugs are a speciality. We can call and take them away or clean them in your home if required.
- Deodorisation and odour removal
- Protector treatment
- Flood clean up
- Emergency stain removal
Upholstery Cleaning
We have been cleaning upholstery for many years and are fully trained to NCCA and IICRC standards. With the multitude of fabrics available it is desirable to call and carry out a site survey and dye bleed test. However this is not always practical so we can estimate over the phone if required.
A typical furniture clean when carried out by us would include;
- Vacuuming to remove dry soil
- Pre-spraying and towelling off to remove the worst of the soil
- Rinse extraction with hot water
- The drying process is then started using turbo dryers.
A considerable benefit is the low moisture hand tool we use for rinse extraction. Its unique patented design does not allow moisture to penetrate any further than the face fabric. This means in conjunction with our drying process, your furniture can often be almost dry when we leave and rarely taking longer than several hours. Many of our competitors will leave a suite very wet requiring up to 36 hours to dry!
We are also expert in the care of leather furniture. Most leather we encounter is called treated or pigmented leather, quite often coloured and shiny in appearance. Although thought to be easy to clean, (I.e. with baby wipes or hot soapy water), when inappropriate materials are used it can degrade the finish over time, resulting in considerable and expensive damage to repair.
We only use industry approved cleaning agents to ensure a good, safe and thorough clean.
If we identify your leather as unfinished, then because of the costly equipment required to clean and restore these items, we will recommend a specialist for the job. We also clean curtains insitu if required. Protector treatment also available.
"Thank you so much for coming to clean my carpets at such short notice. We are delighted with the results - even our ancient living room carpet has come up very well, the treatment has given it a new lease of life. I will certainly use your services again."
