Frequently Asked Questions
How long will my carpet take to dry?
Based on the hot water extraction, the time of year, humidity and the temperature it should take no longer than 3-4 hours. If we clean more than two rooms at any one time, we use turbodriers which speed up the drying process considerably.
How often should my carpets be cleaned?
As a guide, manufacturers recommend professional cleaning every 12-18 months but this depends on how much use your carpet gets. If it is the carpet in your hallway which is a well used area, it will require cleaning more frequently than perhaps a bedroom.
I have heard that once you have a carpet cleaned it gets dirty again very quickly. Is that true?
No, not if you employ a fully trained professional like Brett Cleaning Services. This used to happen (and still does) with "in situ" carpet cleaning. This is caused by untrained operators using underpowered machinery with harsh chemicals. Professional carpet cleaners should always rinse thoroughly to remove chemical residues.
How long will my upholstery take to dry?
Most furniture requires 3-4 hours of cleaning, whilst paying particular attention to the arms and headrests. We usually use turbodriers as this speeds up the drying process and it takes approximately two hours to dry.
"Thank you for your prompt and efficient service following our grandaughter's little 'accident'. Since you had originally cleaned our three piece suite and carpet, we knew you would do a good job and we were not disappointed. Many thanks. "
